Travel options
Zadar can be reached by motorway from Zagreb in about 2.5-3 hours or by coastal road from Rijeka in approximately 3-4 hours. There are daily buses from Zagreb to Zadar on an hourly basis.
The city of Zadar can be reached by ferry from all main Croatian ports, from all islands, and from the neighboring Italy (Ancona).
Zadar airport connects the city to major cities in Croatia and major European capitals. Zadar’s international airport is located around 14 km from the city center and is served by taxis, buses and rent-a-car companies.
There are direct Ryanair flights from: Germany (Frankfurt Hahn, Dusseldorf Weeze, Baden-Baden), France (Marseille, Paris-Beauvias), UK (London-Stansted, Manchester), Ireland (Dublin), Belgium (Brussels Charleroi), Norway (Oslo Rygge), Sweden (Gothenburg, Stockholm).

Additionally, Zadar can be reached from Split (about 100km from Zadar, approximately 45-60 minutes by car). The airport in Split offers numerous additional flight options and connections to various destinations; see www.split-airport.hr.
Numerous low-cost airlines also fly into Zagreb from where you can come to Zadar either by bus (three and a half hours drive), or by car. More information can be found here: www.zagreb-airport.hr.
Accommodation
We can recommend several accommodation options varying in location and price. This includes mostly hostels with mixed 6-10
person dorms with an average price of 20 euro per night. We advise you to book in advance since hostels in Zadar are usually booked already towards the end of June. We recommend the following hostels:
